Freemasonry promotes Friendship, Morality, and Brotherly Love among its members. It is, by definition, a Fraternity comprised of men from every race, religion, opinion, and background who are brought together as Brothers to develop and strengthen the bonds of friendship.
With over three million members, Freemasons belong to the world’s oldest and largest fraternal organization. Freemasonry seeks to “make good men better” by teaching—through symbols and lessons from geometry and architecture—the importance of building one’s character upon timeless truths.

WHAT IS FREMASONRY?
Freemasonry is the world's oldest and largest global fraternal organization for men, focused on moral self-improvement, fellowship, and charity. It is a secular institution that uses the traditions and tools of medieval stonemason guilds as allegorical symbols to teach ethical lessons
Freemasonry evolved from the guilds of skilled stonemasons who built Europe's cathedrals and castles during the Middle Ages. As cathedral building declined, the lodges began accepting "speculative" or honorary members who were interested in the moral and philosophical teachings the trade's tools could represent. The first Grand Lodge was formally established in London, England, in 1717
